The engine must be supported during some service procedures on the front cradle, suspension, and torque tube. Existing engine support fixture adapters and leg assemblies do not fit the new frame and suspension mounts on the 2014 Corvette. EN-28467-40 is a pair of legs designed to fit over and around suspension mounts, and to clear A/C lines so the HVAC system does not need to be evacuated and recharged. EN-28467-40 is tall enough to allow the use of a cross-vehicle bar, such as J-28467-518, without contacting the vehicle body, and is used with existing components from J-28467-B Engine Support Fixture to support the engine, and will also work with global fixture EN-51007. Failure to properly support the engine will result in component damage.
