The GM-47825 is specifically designed for General Motors (GM) vehicles used to test the functionality of the transmission control solenoids in GM transmissions such as the 6L45, 6L50, 6L80, 6L90, 6T70, and 6T75.
The GM-47825 ToolĀ assembly includes several components, including the GM-47825-1 test adapter plate, GM-47825-2 pressure gauge, and GM-47825-10 adapter harness. These components are used to connect to the control solenoid valve body assembly and allow air to be charged into the solenoid ports.
To use the GM-47825 test plate assembly, the appropriate adapter harness is connected to the transmission electrical harness and the control solenoid connector. The Tech 2 tool is then used to systematically actuate each solenoid, and the pressure gauge is used to check for a pressure reading. This process helps determine if all solenoids are functioning correctly.
The assembly includes a case for storage and transport, as well as the GM-47825-10 adapter harness for the 6L45, 6L50, 6L80, and 6L90 transmissions. However, the adapter harness (GM-47825-20) for the 6T70 and 6T75 transmissions is not included and must be ordered separately.
