For GM / General Motors. BO-48370 is required to properly stake the lock cylinder cap onto the rear compartment lock cylinder. The BO-48370-2 body is installed into a vice. The coded lock cylinder along with the lock cylinder cap is then installed into the BO-48320-2 body. The BO-48370-1 installer is then used to stake the lock cylinder cap into place. Attempts to install the rear compartment lock cylinder cap without BO-48370 may result in increased labor time and/or component damage.
