A new front suspension steering knuckle and wheel bearing have been implemented for the 2009 Pontiac Vibe. CH-49684 is required to service the front wheel bearing on the 2009 Pontiac Vibe with all wheel drive. A slide hammer is used with J-34866 or J-45859 to remove the hub from the wheel bearing. Then CH-49684 is used in conjunction with a shop press to remove the wheel bearing from the knuckle and to install the new bearing to the knuckle. CH-49684 is also used with the press to install the wheel speed sensor splash/heat shield. Attempts to service the wheel bearing without CH-49684 may result in increased labor time and component damage.
