For GM / General Motors. The pinion output seal on the PTU on AWD 2010 Buick LaCrosse is installed into the PTU housing bore and over the PTU nut. DT-49061 fits over the pinion nut to protect the inner sealing lip, and centers the seal as it is driven into position using DT-49097 Seal Installer, PTU Output Shaft. DT-49061 must be used to prevent nicking the inner lip on the sharp edge of the pinion output nut, and to center DT-49097.
