The pinion output seal on the PTU on AWD 2010 Buick LaCrosse is installed into the PTU housing bore and over the PTU nut. DT-49061 Seal Pilot, PTU Output Shaft, fits over the pinion nut to protect the inner sealing lip, and centers the seal as it is driven into position using DT-49097-A and J-8092 Driver Handle. DT-49061 must be used to prevent nicking the inner lip on the sharp edge of the pinion output nut, and to center DT-49097-A.
