For GM / General Motors. During intermediate shaft installation into the PTU on AWD 2010 Buick LaCrosse, the intermediate shaft passes through three internal seals. To prevent damage to these seals, DT-49104 fits over the inner splined end of the intermediate shaft. DT-49104 provides a gradual expansion of the seals as the shaft is installed, preventing any sealing lips from being nicked or torn by the splines. Failure to use DT-49104 will result in leaks.
