Kent-Moore DT-50289 Hub Seal Installer

Kent-Moore DT-50289 Hub Seal Installer

Kent-Moore DT-50289 Hub Seal Installer

DT‑50298 is designed to install both the left‑ and right‑side axle seals in the AF40‑6 transaxle used in the 2011 Buick Regal. It is also used to install the left‑hand axle seal on 2010‑and‑newer Cadillac SRX models.

The tool features a stepped outside diameter that expands the seal lip and garter spring, preventing the spring from being dislodged as the seal flange seats against the transmission case. A smaller outside diameter acts as a pilot, ensuring the seal remains properly aligned with the case and cover bores during installation.

Although the seals are flanged, there is still a risk that they may not be driven in squarely or fully. For this reason, the installer incorporates an extended pilot and is constructed from steel to eliminate flex and prevent seal spring‑back during installation.
