DT-50924 and J-8001 dial indicator are installed onto the input shaft hand-tight, and zeroed. The clutch pack rotor is then turned, moving up the apply cam, and the dial indicator re-read. The total travel of the rotor is used to determine the shim required. An incorrect shim will lead to clutch damage.
