Kent-Moore DT-51700 C2 Piston Seal Protector / Sizer

DT-51700 consists of two tools, a protector and a sizer.The oil seal protector has the capability to adjust to three different seal installation grooves during installation of the solid Teflon oil seals on the C2 Clutch Support. This tool is used along with existing tools from the 8L90 8 Speed Transmission program DT-50911-2 Seal Pusher and the adjustment screw from DT-50911-3 Seal Protector. The micro-finish on the exterior of this metal tool ensures the inner lip of the seal is not damaged during installation. Once the oil seals are installed, the second tool, a precision machined seal sizer is used to reduce the outside diameter of the seals. This is accomplished by placing the sizer over the seals and keeping the tool in place for approximately five minutes allowing the seals to compress to the proper assembly dimension when the C2 Clutch is assembled.
