Kent-Moore DT-51977 FDU Pinion Seal Installer

Application: 2016-current Cadillac CTS AWD front axle (FDU)

The pinion seal on the CT6 Front Drive Unit (FDU) is installed to a specific dimension below the case lip. DT-51977 installs the pinion seal to the correct engineering specified positions. Once the seal has been removed, and the case cleaned, the pinion seal is placed onto the end of DT-51977. The seal is then installed using a mallet against DT-51977. Failure to use DT-51977 may result in an incorrect placement of the seal, and less than designed seal life.
