For General Motors. 4T40E Previously essential Trans Cooler Flusher J 35944 will not attach to the 4T40E lines since they are not threaded as are all other cooler lines. The 4T40E lines feature straight tube ends that are pressed into seals in the trans case. The inlet and return lines are attached to a single plate which mounts to the case. Remove inlet and return cooler lines from the trans case, attach J 35944-440 Adapter to both lines then attach the inlet and discharge lines of the flushing unit to the adapter. Proceed with flushing procedure. Reverse position of flushing lines and continue with procedure. Used with: J 35944 Trans Cooler Flusher
