Applications: 1999 Driver/Passenger SIR
1999 Driver/Passenger SIR CATERA. The connector between the inflator module and SIR coil has changed on the vehicles listed above. This adapter is required when using previously essential J 38715-A Driver/Passenger SIR Load Tool. This adapter connects to SIR coil connector (male side) and allows J 38715-A to be used to simulate a known good inflator module for diagnostic purposes. Used with: J-38715-A Driver/ Passenger Load Tool. Previous adapter J-38715-30 does not fit new style connectors at the air bag. This tool will be able to work on all previous adaptations also. Used to simulate the electrical resistance of the air bag, during diagnostics.
