Year 2001 C/K truck, G-van, Med Duty, C3500HD. J-42846 will allow the tech to protect the end of the crankshaft during service of the pulley assembly. J-42846 is also designed to support the pulley after it separates from the crankshaft. This safety feature is important due to the weight of the oversized pulley assembly. J-42846 is bolted onto the end of the crankshaft. The diameter of J-42846 is the same as the crankshaft for easy transfer of the pulley.
