Replaces J-38817, J-38817-A, J-42842, and J-45930. The crankshaft bolts have changed on 2006-up Northstar Premium V8 engines, and existing tool J-45930 will not work with the new bolts. J-45930-A will service both 2006-up and prior year seals. J-45930-A is required by Buick or Cadillac dealers who do not already have J-45930 to update.
