Use aluminum tape to hold broken plastic parts together while you do your plastic welding. This aluminum tape is not as thick as our 6481-1 and 6485; we weren't able to source the thick tape on small rolls. However, many do-it-yourselfers don't need a huge roll of aluminum tape. We were able to source this small roll of tape for the do-it-yourselfer that is thicker than the foil tape that most hardware stores carry. We tested it with several repairs and it works fine. Sometimes we had to double up the tape to get the stiffness we needed.
