The driveshaft used in Buick LaCrosse, Cadillac SRX, and Saab 9-4X AWD vehicles is seated into the pinion flange on the RDM, and must not be pulled or hammered during removal, or damage to the rear CV joint will occur. DT-49064 fits over the pinion flange, and had two bolts included, which are threaded into the body of DT-49064 and into non-threaded through-holes in the flange. the two bolts tighten against the driveshaft, and react against the body of DT-49064 to safely remove the driveshaft from the flange.
